hiding

question: has anyone been having an issue with fleas this summer? bailey literally never has fleas but i’ve been combing 2-3 off of her practically every day. i asked our local groomer about them and she said they have noticed an increase of fleas this year and the flea treatments don’t seem to be working on them. have y’all been having a problem with fleas?

{52 snapshots of life} #black

the word of the week, in the 52 snapshots of life photo challenge, is black. while i was pondering this post, i found out today is black cat appreciation day! how perfect is that? and as luck would have it, i just happen to have a picture of a black cat in my camera roll. what are the chances, right?
this is isabella and she belongs to the girl that used to cut bailey's nails. she came up to me one day to say hello and i had to snap this shot of her.

national doughnut / donut day

i think it was shakespeare that said "what's in a spelling? that which we call a donut by any other spelling would taste as sweet." no? ok maybe not, but no matter how you spell it, it's still delicious. friday was national donut day. did you indulge? we did, but not until yesterday when the lines weren't out the door. my favorite is maple cake. what's yours?

no, bailey did not taste my donut but i did give her a doggie treat while i enjoyed my human treat.

spring forward (daylight saving time)

last night, or should i say this morning, we lost an hour of sleep. yep, it's that time again. the second weekend of march is here again. daylight saving time began at 2am and while i will enjoy more daylight hours, i do not enjoy losing sleep. BOL.

UCLA 35 / USC 14

yesterday's ucla/usc game was a crushing loss for those of us who root for usc. bailey was cheering on the trojans but the bruins were at the top of their game and no amount of doggie cheer could help the poor trojans.

"fight on!"
