monday mischief: the mouth game

a couple of weeks ago i took a picture of bailey by lassie's star on the hollywood walk of fame. well, i liked the picture so much, i had it printed on canvas (at canvas on demand.) i feel a canvas photo looks more like a piece of art and gives more integrity to the subject matter. it was delivered to my door in less than two weeks and i love it! bailey is happy with it too!

tuesday we went for coffee in sierra madre and across the street they were filming an episode of touch. bailey insisted on checking out the set.

"hey, what's going on here? looks like they are filming a tv show!""

"they're filming touch! david mazouz is so cute. do you think he's here?"

"there sure is a lot of activity over there."

"do you think kiefer sutherland or danny glover are in that pile of people?"

"ok, i'm tire of this show business stuff, let's go."

this weekend was nice and warm so we went out for some frozen yogurt at golden spoon.

we did a little light gardening a couple of days ago and our little bailey, thinking she's a 100# guard dog, sat watch.

coffee sniffing dog

my coffee detection dog is at work again. i had ordered a pound of el gavilán coffee from counter culture coffee and bailey went straight to work. she sniffed the box and after she gave the go-ahead, i could open it. mmm, the scent of coffee wafted from the box.

she also had to sniff the package to be sure it contained premium beans.

she gives her seal of approval so off i go to enjoy my afternoon jolt of caffeine. thanks bailey!

this is my 100th post on bailey unleashed! wow, i didn't know i had that much to say. BOL. thanks to my fellow dog lovers for your support and your comments. it's nice to know i'm not here talking to myself :) i'm looking forward to sharing many more doggie adventures with you.

the renovated claremont metrolink station is so pretty, we thought we'd take bailey for a photo shoot.

this giant conductor's pocketwatch is one of several sculptures that are on permanent display at the depot.

mischief monday: lizard hunting

when aoife is here for a visit, her favorite pastime is hunting and chasing lizards. here she is trying to get a lizard that she had chased behind the flower pot. of course she can never catch one but that doesn't stop her from trying!

my orange tree is home to many creatures great and small.

and while i don't mind the birds and the bees and the flowers in my tree...

i don't want these guys. besides looking creepy...

they are very destructive to the tree!

well not really, but our city does have a lot a really big rocks that i can put bailey on, making it look like she is rock climbing.

this boulder is REALLY big.

bailey was sound asleep on my lap when my sneeze woke her with a fright. the sweet little face that always looks up at me to make sure i'm ok, normally looks like this:

but the face that looked up at me this time was nothing like i've seen in the past. my darling little girl's top lip was stuck on her teeth making her look like she had been possessed by an evil monster. oh dear, she looked like hannibal lecter!

hooray for hollywood

this past weekend, we drove out to hollywood to see the stars (on the hollywood walk of fame). i've lived in the los angeles area my whole life but never really did the tourist thing. we started off our day with coffee at groundwork coffee on sunset bl. (where they have been known to film private practice)

since it was bailey's first trip to the walk of fame, she wanted to look for lassie's star. we mapped it out and headed on our way. she was so happy.
