happy halloween 2018

bailey doesn’t have a halloween costume this year but she does have a cute candy corn dress. did you know yesterday was national candy corn day? guess i should have posted bailey in this dress yesterday.

bailey wants to remind everyone that candy is bad for our fur babies.

does your fur baby run and hide under a blanket when you tell her it’s medicine time?

bailey’s meds are in tablet form, which means i have to find a way to hide it in her food. doc suggested putting it in braunschweiger. braun what? i've never heard of it.

this was perfect. since the sausage is like a paste, i can mold it into a little ball around her pill and she doesn’t know it’s in there. i also add a few more into her bowl for good measure. best thing about it? she likes it!

it’s dinnertime at casa chihuahua and bailey is enjoying her meal even more because of her new placemat. isn’t it adorable? we just love it.

i found it at etsy. it is 100% cotton on front, a waterproof pad on the back and 100% cotton flannel in the middle for extra absorbency!

the outside world! she loves when hubby lifts her up so she can see out the front window. (we live at the end of a cul-de-sac so there really isn’t that much to see but she’s still fascinated every time she's lifted up.)

when i zoom in a little closer, you can see bailey's mouth is beginning to water as she anticipates her treat. (doc said to put her meds in liverwurst and bailey thinks that is absolutely, without a doubt, the best thing in the whole wide world!)

bailey’s "seizures"

i have been trying to capture bailey’s "seizures" for the longest time but since they come on without warning and only last a few seconds, it’s nearly impossible to film one. lately however, they have been a little more frequent so i was able to capture a few to share with her doc (and y’all of course). this is what she’s been dealing with (off and on) since her fall in 2014.



i showed this to her doc on friday. he prescribed an anti-inflammatory that i’ll be giving her for the next couple of weeks. he said it should help her little brain and maybe even stop this from happening! please keep good thoughts for my little bailey.
