bailey's response, when i asked her to pose on a boulder with gushing water below her, wasn't what i expected. i half expected her to protest and put up a fuss but i was pleasantly surprised when she said no problemo.

bailey is the same color as the rocks. if she wasn't wearing her coat, you wouldn't even see her standing there! BOL

i was looking over this week's blog posts and i noticed bailey hardly made an appearance! well i will right that wrong, right now.

hubby was installing a new faucet yesterday and aoife was right there at his side... supervising every step.

"don't worry, i'll keep an eye on things"

empty nest

bailey wanted to share some pictures of the hummingbirds that have nested on our patio. this is the third time we have had baby hummingbirds here and each time is just as magical as the last.

mommy hummingbird recycles her nest for each set of eggs by adding fresh fluff. daddy hummingbird had nothing to do with the nest renovation or the rearing of his offspring. mommy did it all on her own and she did a wonderful job.

i think aoife planned her visit for this week because she knew we were going to be doing a product review. she was doing all kinds of tricks, trying to convince me to let her take charge of this month's review.

this month, the wonderful people at chewy supplied us with acana mackerel & greens singles formula dog treats to review. they are freeze dried and very easy to break and very easy for bailey to chew. but be warned, they are very fishy. and when i say they are fishy, i mean
they. are. fishy.

aoife didn't seem to mind the smell at all. she gobbled up the first treat i gave her before i even had a chance to take a picture. the only way to get a shot of her eating, was to hold it for her. that way i could make her nibble it instead of gulping it.

ingredients:
whole atlantic mackerel (full of omega-3 to support skin and coat)
spinach greens (rich source of fiber)
sarsaparilla root (supports healthy digestion)
mixed tocopherols (preservative)

made in kentucky, usa
3.9 kcal per treat

these treats were a hit, here at casa chihuahua. both girls loved them and this was one of the few treats i didn't have to break up for bailey.
