bailey had quite the encounter yesterday. she found a praying mantis in our backyard! she was fascinated by it. i wanted to share her experience with y'all...

part of the fun of antiquing is that you never know what you're gonna find. for example, the other day we found this old amish buggy. awesome, don’t you think? we thought this would make a fantastic photo op for bailey, so if you take a closer look into the surrey, you’ll see what i mean.

saturday morning bailey got a special blessing from chaplain cindy watts. she wasn’t too sure about the sprig of lavender on her head but she was a good girl about it all and graciously accepted the blessing.

bailey had an encounter with a baby lizard yesterday.

"hi tiny, little lizard!"

the little guy didn’t run away when bailey approached it.

it even let her sniff it! at this point, i was actually beginning to get worried about the little guy :(

then, before bailey, and i, knew what happened, it ran away. whew! i guess it was just... daydreaming? i dunno. i’m just glad it was ok. yay! a happy ending.

i’ve been fighting a cold for the past couple of weeks and through every cough or sneeze, bailey has stayed right by my side.

our recent trip to arizona took quite a bit out of little bailey. it was over a 7 hour drive to get there but she was a trooper and never complained once. these pictures were taken the next morning as we sat with our morning coffee in downtown tucson.
