my favorite awww moment is when i find bailey sleeping with her paws crossed...

or when she looks at me... or when i look at her... i guess every moment spent with bailey is an awww moment.

with her paws crossed and head bowed, it looks like bailey is praying. no doubt she is praying for a peaceful end to all the hate and violence that our country has been experiencing lately. in the words of john lennon: give peace a chance.

40 winks wednesday

yesterday as bailey was catching 40 winks, i noticed something very unusual. well, unusual for bailey. do you see it?

she was napping with her paws crossed, on 9/11. i know many dogs cross their paws regularly, my grand doggie does it all the time, but bailey doesn’t. for her to cross them yesterday, of all days, was beautiful.

i don't know how this blog post snuck up on me, but it sure did. i usually work on my 'see beautiful' post well in advance but somehow this month just got away from me.

it's as if bailey sensed my dilemma because she gave me this beautiful pose, which i was able to turn into this post. she crossed her paws, bowed her head, and "began to pray." i think she is praying for her pal reilly. he is one of the cowspotdogs, and has been having an issue with his footsie for quite some time now. hopefully her prayers will be answered and reilly will soon be on the road to recovery.

so, this moment, and every moment, i see beautiful in my little bailey.

mommy's in new york...

...and i'm at home without her. nobody told me that last night's riding into the sunset meant that we were taking mommy to the airport! she said something about it being a long flight and that i've never flown before. all i heard was that i had to stay home and after that it's just a blur. geez, she just went to portland to see daughter #1, now she's off to new york to see daughter #2. i'm just glad there are no more kids! BOL
i will say a prayer that the days go by quickly and that she gets home safely.

bailey knows what it feels like to be homeless so whenever i see her sitting with her paws crossed, i always think it looks like she is praying for all the other homeless pets out there that will never find their forever homes, and it makes me sad that we can't help them all :(
