fun with bee

bee was looking at the items i have been crocheting for bailey & aoife and asked me to make a little something for her to take back to new york. i grabbed my crochet bag and whipped up a little yellow bandana. when i placed it on her head, she wasn't too happy with me at all. she turned into a statue and would only move her eyes. BOL

"um, i don't think that's where it's worn"

after i had a good laugh, and took some pictures of course, i placed it around her neck. she flapped her ears and magically came back to life.

"that's much better"

bailey will sit still for a picture, waiting for her treat ...

but only for so long. then she gets a little, um, impatient.

a bandana for bailey

i've been playing around at the sewing machine again and i came up with a bandana for bailey. because i don't really sew, i don't have a craft room with piles of fabric to choose from. heck, i don't even have a craft room, BOL, so i made it out of a cloth napkin. not too bad for my first try. oh, and it's reversible! at least bailey's happy with it and that's all that really matters anyway.

bailey's new bandana

when i went up to portland last month, we went to the portland saturday market. (an art show that is held every weekend at waterfront park march-december.) there were so many talented artists and craftspeople selling their wares. one of the artists that i met was lisa. she sews collars, leashes, bandanas, sweaters, backpacks... so of course i had to buy something for bailey! i bought her a reversible bandana. one side is the pink bandana and the other side has multi-colored skulls/crossbones. i thought it was adorable and since it's reversible, it was like getting two for the price of one. isn't it cute?

as you can see, hubby is feeling better after his appendectomy and has returned to putting stuff on bailey's head. yay!
