sunny days ahead

we are gonna have some really nice weather this week. we are currently in the low 70s but we are supposed to hit mid 80s by the end of the week. bailey (& bee) are gonna love it!

when bee was here for a visit a couple of weeks ago, the girls enjoyed a little sunshine out back. not too much though, just enough to warm their little bones. BOL, look at all those little pointed ears! they're so cute.

in the words of john denver, "sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy" and bailey absolutely agrees. our weather is heading towards triple digits but our weekend was quite lovely. i'm glad bailey was able to get some fresh air before it gets really hot because i think she'll be breathing air conditioner air for the rest of the week. BOL

bailey is so excited that she can finally walk on sunshine again, instead of rain! we hope your weekend was just as lovely as ours.

bailey was thrilled we finally had a couple of days without rain. hallelujah! however, more rain is on it's way. but let's not tell bailey just yet. let her have her fun in the sun before we rain on her parade.

here in so cal we are gonna reach triple digits over the weekend. if your temps are rising too, please keep an eye on your pets. dogs can, and do, get heat stroke. you can read more on that at pet md.

while they are outside, make sure there is a shady spot to escape from the blazing sun and always have plenty of fresh water available.

bee has been loving our california weather but the next few days are gonna be scorchers. we will be spending less time outside and more time inside our air conditioned home.

so it turns out the weather report was right! we've been having 90°+ temps for the past couple of days and bailey is lovin' it.

notice how she's tipping her head just enough for the hat to block the sun from her marble eyes!

the chin strap on this hat was huge so i stitched it shorter but in this shot it looks like i need to take it in even more!

when aoife saw that i was giving treats just for wearing a hat, she said that she could wear a hat, and that she could do it quicker and better than bailey. so i let her wear it and yes, she was right. i got a much quicker shot of her. but it looks like she's balancing that orange flower pot on her head! BOL
