it's bailey's gotcha day!!!
the day we rescued little bailey is etched in my mind as if it were yesterday. the feeling we had when we first saw her was undeniable. we instantly knew that we had to bring this little girl home with us. she has brought such joy into our lives. {and some heartache too, but let's not dwell on that.} today is a day of celebration because we have been bailey's pawrents for seven fantastic years. and counting.
happy gotcha day little bailey. i love you, and your funny faces.
we went out yesterday for a few hours and it seems to have tuckered bailey out quite a bit. as soon as we got in the car to come home, she fell right asleep. i don't know why she got so tired. she gets carried everywhere we go. BOL
on a day that food seems to take center stage, let's not forget to take a moment to count our blessings and to give thanks for each one.
we are thankful for all the friends we have made here in blogville. friends that have been with us through thick and thin. we love y'all and we wish all of you a day full of joy and laughter and most of all, love.
no matter how late i am up crocheting orders, little bailey is right there by my side. never one to complain, she just settles in on a pile of blankets and waits till i'm done for the night.
bailey may be tiny but she's mighty! can you believe it's been 3 years since her accident?
to look at her, you'd never know what she's been through or the difficulties she's had to overcome. she had a very steep mountain to climb, but she did it. bailey is the little engine that could.
anyone remember teddy ruxpin from the 80's? yesterday i was testing a tape in one, to make sure it worked, and the ever inquisitive bailey had to be right there to snoopervise every step.
as she was giving him the once-over, he started talking and kinda freaked her out. BOL
have you noticed a bit more facial hair on men lately? that's because it's movember! no, that wasn't a typo. movember was created to help bring attention to men's health.
of course bailey wanted to get involved in the movement. if a chihuahua with a mustache doesn't help bring attention, nothing will.
do your fur babies use you as a human headrest? do you then need to stay where you are until they decide to move? even if you are in an awkward or uncomfortable position? ya, me too. BOL
after my 3 days in new york, i needed a day to recuperate. {it's tiring there and i'm not as young as i used to be.} anyhoo, bailey was more than happy to keep me company as i spent my day in jammies and rested my weary bones. BOL
guess where i was over the weekend.
i went to visit bee (& daughter #2) in new york! bee was so excited that i went to visit her in her new brooklyn apartment. just look at her face! but don't tell bailey, she had to stay home and doesn't know where i went.
