this month bailey is reviewing
natural balance limited ingredient white fish & sweet potato formula grain-free wet dog food courtesy of chewy.com.
upon opening the tub, you could see chunks of fish and veggies. the first ingredients are white fish, fish broth & sweet potato, followed by a list of vitamins and minerals.
day one went well. she liked it and finished both of her meals.
the next day however, she was a bit rumbly in her tumbly. hmm, coincidence or the food? i let a couple of days pass before trying it again. this time she didn't want it and ate around it. i let another couple of days pass and i opened another tub. when i spooned it into her bowl, i noticed a fish bone. then i found another and another. all in all, this is what i "fished" out of the 2.75 ounce tub.
this can't be right. they are sharp and i can only imagine what would happen if bailey were to ingest them. i called natural balance right away and they said it was
not normal to find bones in the food. hmm. where's the quality control? needless to say, this was quite disconcerting. i've always trusted natural balance foods and since i didn't notice any in the first tub, i'm hoping this was just a fluke? but it sure was a lot of bones for such a small container.
overall, i am not that thrilled with this product. bailey ate it the first day but got a tummy ache. the next time she refused to eat it. then there's the issue of the fish bones. maybe i should have gone with the chicken.
