sun puddle

over the weekend we had a very nice sun puddle in our living room so i put bailey's bed right smack in the middle of it. when i showed her, she stumbled into her bed and went right to sleep.

the grand illusion

bailey looks like she's got a big pregnant belly, but it's actually just my arm! BOL. just goes to show, looks can be deceiving.

crumby

how did bailey get such a crumby nose?

that's what happens when she eats cookies. she doesn't know how to lick them off so they just stay there. BOL

update

bailey's blood test came back and her numbers were still a little elevated. normal should be 200, hers were 227. not too far off. doc felt they were in a safe enough range to stop her treatment. that was wednesday. she's been ok since then. her mornings start out pretty slow but then she perks up throughout the day. she can get around on her own, for the most part. i did have her on leash, even in the house, because she would fall over or crash into things. that has stopped and she can pretty much walk on her own now. she doesn't have full access to our house though. she is contained to whatever room i am in. better to be safe than sorry.

feather in her cap

this pic showed up in my facebook memories a couple of days ago. it was from a post in march of 2017. i have no idea what bird that feather came from but it was a beauty. i found it in a parking lot and had to bring it home.

3rd treatment

bailey had another treatment for her pancreatitis yesterday and they took more blood to see how her body is reacting to the treatments. today she will only get subcutaneous fluids. this'll be a much shorter visit. the full treatment takes about an hour but fluids only take about a minute to administer. again, she slept all the way home. our vet is 30 miles away, so that was a pretty good nap.

thank you for all of your prayers and healing vibes. we are grateful for each and every one.
