uh oh, i think i'm coming down with a case of tot. i hear it's contagious so be careful out there. i'm pretty sure i caught it from bailey because she suffers from chronic tot. ;)

sitting with my doggie, in my pjs, in front of a roaring fire and working on a crochet project. i've got everything i could possibly want, right here... except a cup of coffee... i'd really like a cup of coffee. BOL

let it rain

bailey enjoyed sitting at the front window yesterday, watching the rain fall. it wasn't nearly the amount of rain that was forecasted but we'll gladly take whatever we're given.

march 2011 #tbt

a few days ago, facebook reminded me of what bailey looked like in 2011. this was taken just 4 months after we rescued her. when we found her she was emaciated and weighed only 3.3 pounds. we don't know what she'd been through in her short life but you can see in her eyes, it wasn't good. her eyes tell it all. i don't know who could have treated her so poorly. it makes me sad and it makes me angry.
but today she is a healthy 4.4 pounds and the sadness has long left her eyes. she is our little princess and has everything a proper princess could ever need or want. and most importantly, she is loved.

old man winter has left the building and bailey & i are thrilled!
we can finally get out and work in the garden (after this next rain storm passes). i have a couple of projects i've been thinking about for a while. hopefully this is the year they become a reality. how 'bout y'all? any projects planned?

how do you like bailey's new dress? i had it made special for daughter #2's bridal shower, which was saturday, and had a bee theme. we had a little rain on saturday, but what's a bridal shower without a little shower? BOL

sunday and yesterday were sunny and warm though and as you can see, bee can hardly contain her excitement. her favorite thing, is to walk out the back door, and have a backyard full of lawn to roll around on. however, the rain is supposed to return today and last the rest of the week. not really the weather bee wants while she is visiting california but at least it's not snowing!

bee's back for a visit and she arrived at the long beach airport with a very full bladder. she was very happy to see that there was a nice little potty station where she could relieve herself. it had real grass, not the fake stuff, a fire hydrant and a picket fence. very cute.

bailey is trying to catch up on the sleep she will be losing this weekend when we spring ahead. she figures if she takes an extra nap or two, she won't miss the hour we lose on saturday night. hmm, maybe she's got something there!

bailey just discovered that if i put her on the back of our sofa, she is high enough to look out of the living room window.

from there she can see everything that is happening on our street! of course she is only allowed up there if i'm sitting right beside her.

getting a raspberry from bailey is easy. with all the teeth she's missing, her tongue just naturally shows. but getting a full-on tongue only happens once in a blue moon.

weather report

our weather has been cold and wet long enough and bailey is fed up. the only good thing about the cold is that bailey gets to wear her fleece pullovers and sweaters. the next few days are supposed to be sunny, but it won't last long. our weather guy is forecasting more rain by the end of the week.

a double celebration

first, we'd like to celebrate dr seuss. today is his birthday, so happy birthday to him!
second, we'd like to celebrate the fact that it's friday, so happy friday to everyone!

bailey's sit up and beg keeps improving. her balance is so much better, her posture is fab and her eyes are focused on the prize. i'm so proud of my little girl. she's come such a long way.
