thankful
one year ago, bailey was homeless. today she has a home, a warm bed to sleep in, food a plenty, and a family that loves her. i am so thankful that we found her but while we are counting our blessings, i can't help but think about all the homeless pets that are hoping to find their forever homes. this year, if you are planning on purchasing a pet for christmas, please consider adoption. through no fault of their own, loving pets are ending up in shelters and rescue groups and spending their final days feeling alone and unwanted. adoption saves lives. opt to adopt.

trip to the vet
today was our yearly visit to the vet. little bay is maintaining her weight of 4#. she got her recommended vaccinations and a clean bill of health. i can't believe it's already been a year since we rescued her. how far she has come; from an unwanted, underweight dog with a diseased uterus, diseased ovaries & a slight case of mange, to a spayed, healthy & loved member of our family. to look at her now you'd never know she was the same dog. she is bright eyed & bushy tailed and always at the ready for a walk or a ride in the car.
