it's inauguration day, tra la la

bailey is proud to be a member of the blogville choir.

she composed this aria last year and would like to sing it to the newly inaugurated mayors, murphy and stanley, as well as the entire newly appointed cabinet of blogville.



after the festivities, there is a sleepover at dory's but since bailey's accident, she hasn't been out much. she is sorry that she couldn't be there in furson, but she will be there in spirit.

alternate mode of transportation

bailey's stroller has made life so much easier, but for an alternate mode of transportation, sometimes we use the puppy pouch crossbody sling. not having to maneuver the stroller room to room allows us to move more efficiently through the house.

there is a little chain attached to the inside of the sling that fastens to her harness for extra security but i always have a hand on her as well. and because she's so tiny, i had to stuff the bottom with a blankie to give her some height. otherwise she'd be sitting at the bottom of the sling in darkness. BOL

bee's so cal christmas holiday ended yesterday and she is now back in new york :( we sure are gonna miss that little cutie. while she was here, i had two goals: i wanted her and bailey to become besties and i wanted to get a decent picture of the girls together. well, i got the pictures. BOL.

i couldn't get bee's attention because she was distracted by what was happening outside.

as you can see, bailey still has to be tethered to help with her balance. just pretend you can't see hubby's hand holding her steady.

bee, my grand doggie

i've totally been enjoying my new grand doggie. it's been a week since her spay and hernia surgeries and she's feeling more like herself. now that she's off her pain meds, her personality has returned and she's an absolute sweetie. i'm really gonna miss her when she goes back to new york. just look at that face!

i've been taking a lot of pictures of her but poor thing was always wearing her cone. i gave her a little break and took it off so i could get a couple of shots of her without it. she was very cooperative and i got these shots pretty quick.

she still needs another week of wearing the cone, so after we were done, she went back to being a conehead. sorry bee but we have to protect your incisions.
