bailey is doing a very good job at staying hydrated on these extremely hot and humid days we've been having lately. when we go out, we never leave home without first checking that we have [1] poopie bags, [2] her treat bag and [3] her h2o4k9 water bottle with fresh water.

{52 snapshots of life} #father

here we are at week 26 of the 52 snapshots of life photo challenge. can you believe half the year is gone already? crikey!
the theme for this week is father. i have dozens of pictures of bailey with her daddy so this wasn't much of a challenge.

after their walk, bailey needed a little rest. it doesn't take much to tire her out.

bailey made a new friend on a recent trip to the park. it was none other than mark twain himself. he was just sitting on the park bench reading a book! [the adventures of huckleberry finn, of course.]

a day at the park

a few days ago, we had a lovely time at the park. we did a little hiking (very little) and a lot of resting. our visit started off with a horse walking right in front of us!

bailey says that's enough walking. it was time to relax in the shade of the tree and just enjoy the nature that surrounded us.

last week when the dog park was closed, aoife spent her time posing for pictures...

conquering a mountain of dirt...

crossing a suspension bridge...

climbing a slide...

& contemplating life.

even after her day of fun and frolic, you'd think she'd be dog-tired, but it looks like she's ready to go for round two!

pick up the poop!

one of my biggest pet peeves is people that do not pick up after their dogs. i'm sure the city spent a pretty penny putting these signs all over the park and keeping the bags supplied. are people illiterate? if they can't read, there is a picture. if they don't understand the picture, there are bags falling out of the dispenser. clearly they must know what the bags are for. come on people, grab a bag when you pass the sign, that way you'll have it when you need it. our city parks are for everyones enjoyment, they are not a public restroom for your dog.
