the butcher, the baker, the cappuccino maker

this past weekend, we had brunch at the very dog-friendly BBCM (on sunset blvd in west hollywood) and bailey was the perfect little patron. actually, she is always on her best behavior when we go out to eat.

she sat calmly and quietly while we enjoyed our delicious meal and our flight of mimosas!

it’s exhausting being such a good girl.

breakfast with bailey at basix cafe

over the weekend we met up with daughter #1 and went to the dog-friendly basix cafe in west hollywood for breakfast. we've driven by several times and finally we dropped in for a meal. i ordered the brioche french toast topped with fresh berries and powdered sugar (which i shared with my daughter) and bailey ordered a scrambled egg. i'm so glad we finally tried this place out. it was quite delicious and the portions were huge. bailey behaved quite well and was rewarded with her favorite treat, a chik 'n rice ball.

we took a mini getaway this weekend and stayed at the wigwam motel on route 66. bailey was very excited to stay in a "real" teepee! the motel's been there since 1949 and i must say, we really did get our kicks on route 66. the motel is adorable and dog friendly!!!
