since it's halloween, it seemed only fitting that we review merrick seasonals howl o’ ween stew. and since aoife is here, she will be adding her two cents as well.

it's a howl o'ween stew but there is nothing scary about it. it's made with de-boned chicken, chicken broth, chicken liver, fresh peas, sweet potatoes and, wait for it, pumpkin!

aoife likes it because it's an all-natural, grain-free recipe. and because it contains no wheat, corn or soy, it’s easy to digest. another plus is that it's made right her in the usa with locally sourced ingredients!

it's always exciting when the nice fedex guy comes to our home. bailey especially likes when he's bringing something yummy from the nice people at chewy.com.

this delivery contained a package of merrick power bites made with real salmon, and no corn, wheat or soy. and since they're merrick, you know they're made in the usa with quality ingredients.

they are soft and chewy morsels that your pup will love. they are 5 kcal per treat, so keep that in mind when feeding. i know they are tiny, but if you break them in half, as i do, your pup will think they are getting twice as many as they actually are.

bailey thought they were quite tasty and gives them her pink paw seal of approval. if you'd like to order a package for your pup, but your pup isn't into fish, they are also available in beef, rabbit, turducken and chicken.

it's time again for a product review, brought to you by our good friends at chewy.com.

this month we are sampling merrick lil' plates grain-free tiny thanksgiving day dinner in gravy. we have tried the lil' plates before and i really appreciate the little size (3.5 oz) for tiny dogs like bailey.

the first 5 ingredients in their turkey dinner are deboned turkey, turkey broth, chicken broth, chicken liver, deboned chicken. it also contains dried egg whites, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, apples, peas, and potatoes.

i think the pictures pretty much sum up bailey's opinion of this dinner. she finished every morsel! she definitely gives this meal her pink paw seal of approval.

this month chewy was kind enough to send us merrick lil' plates grain-free itsy bitsy beef stew for bailey to review.
i love the little size of these tubs. they are only 3.5 ounces. tiny dogs don't eat much so i'm sure these lil' tubs will make tiny dog parents very happy.

because i sprinkle crushed folic acid and her dental powder on each meal, i am always looking for healthy and nutritious wet foods to add to her kibble so the powders have something to stick to.

"hmm, what's this?"

BOL, she ate everything except her kibble!

merrick products are made in the usa with fresh ingredients from family farms across america, not china. lil' plates are free of grains, corn, soy, gluten and wheat. the first 5 ingredients are beef, beef broth, venison broth, beef liver & dried egg whites. also at the top of the list are sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, apples & peas.
