this "family portrait" is a throwback to august 2012.

when we found bailey she was a neglected, undernourished, sick, 3 pound mangy pup. the picture on the left was taken march 2011, shortly after we found her. looking back, it breaks my heart to see the pain and sadness in her eyes.

the picture on the right shows her transformation to a healthy, happy, much loved and well cared for little princess who now walks with a spring in her step. and those eyes? well now those big round marble eyes twinkle.

today i thought i would share one of my favorite pictures of bailey with her daddy. bailey is a very loving doggie and is always giving kisses and loves to cuddle and nuzzle.

i thought i'd dig into the archives of bailey's pictures for today's post. this picture was taken just a couple of months after we rescued her. she was still sick and so weak and it shows in her face. poor little thing. you can see there is no twinkle in her eyes, just pain.

but we nursed her back to health and gave her a second lease on life. 2 1/2 years later, what a difference. she's happy, healthy and most of all she's loved.
