lengua is the spanish word for tongue and is pronounced len-gwa. now that our spanish lesson is over, here are a couple of shots of bailey’s lengua in action. BOL

coffeedog

we aren't called "coffeedog" for nothing. we are coffee people and bailey is the coffee dog that loves to accompany us on our caffeinated journey.

she is the quintessential little coffee doggie; she just lies on hubby's lap and falls asleep. no fuss. no muss.

rules and regulations

there are a lot of rules and regulations to read before taking your dogs on the beach, but bailey has read them all and is confident that she knows where she is and isn’t allowed to go.

"it’s ok to go this way, daddy"

bird rock

not a day goes by that we don't have a cup of coffee. this holds true even while day trippin'.

daughter #1 lives in san diego, so she took us to bird rock coffee roasters, a small independent roastery. bailey approved of this dog friendly location and we approved of their organic fair trade coffee.

bailey! get off the table! we're not at home. BOL

{this moment} see beautiful: hms surprise

last weekend we drove down to san diego for the day and we ended up at the maritime museum.

ahoy mateys! via baileyunleashed.com

this is the hms surprise. she was built in 1970 and is a detailed re-creation of the hms rose, a 24-gun british frigate built in 1757.

you may recognize her from her appearance in master and commander: the far side of the world with russell crowe ...

or from pirates of the caribbean: on stranger tides with johnny depp.

"yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!"
