a mini pancake for bailey

who knew a little 4 pound chihuahua could have so much energy. we have a 3:00 appointment with dr w today and i can't wait to see him. bailey is so restless. she's restless in the playpen and she's restless in our arms. in the playpen, she tumbles around like a gymnast and in our arms she constantly pushes with her back legs like grasshopper trying to leap away.

another odd thing is that she has a voracious appetite. i feed her every 3 hours and she gulps down every bite like she's starving. very out of character for her.

i know it's only been two weeks since her accident, so i don't know if it's too soon to be asking about some sort of therapy for her weak front legs, but i'll ask anyway.

on jack in the box's breakfast menu, they have mini pancakes. since doc said we can add pancakes to bailey's diet, we shared an order over the weekend. she got one and i got seven. BOL

thanks to alfie's blog, my brown newfies & snoopy's dog blog for hosting monday mischief blog hop.

until we meet again my friends-

  3. The bummer is muscles take so long to build up but they fall apart so fast. Maybe all her squirminess is because she is nervous about not feeling right and not really being able to move. We are just so thankful she is moving and eating. Looking forward to hearing what the doc has to say.

  17. That's so sweet you two shared breakfast! Don't second guess yourself for wanting to ask about therapy. You ask all the questions you want - that's your baby.

  21. It's so exciting to see Bailey improving!! I was wondering about an update and then realized I have Bailey's updates going into her own file... BOL! Will be looking forward to hearing what the update is after your visit to the Vet!

  22. I'm happy to see Bailey is obviously getting her strength back. Physical therapy is always good, I think. You can lose muscle mass SO quickly but it can take so long to get it back. Good luck at the Vet!
