out with the old, in with the new

this was bailey's old cot that never got used. (i think she didn't like the feel of the coolaroo fabric. her little footsies are too delicate and the mesh was kinda rough.) hubby was gonna throw it out but the frame was still in good condition, so i thought if i just replaced the mesh with a nice fabric, maybe she'd like it better.

so i went to the fabric store and picked this outdoor duck cloth. luckily bailey approved. i took off the coolaroo mesh and used that as a template for the new fabric.

now, i am not a seamstress in any sense of the word, but i think it came out pretty good, even if i do say so myself. plus it's just so much prettier.

"thanks for updating my cot, mommy. i love it."

  3. Hi Y'all!

Bailey, your cot looks a lot like the quilt my Humans have on their bed in the mountains. It is cheery and beautiful.

  5. That is pawsome! We have one of those and it needs a new cover on it. We might be able to get our aunt to do this for us ... Thanks for the idea!

  7. Great idea! Just replace the cover instead of replacing the whole thing. Bailey thanks you and the environment thanks you.
