the scariest thing in the world

is there anything that sends your pup into a panic at just the sight of it? for bailey, it's a flyswatter. when she sees it, she runs the other way and goes to hide. especially the sound of the swatter smacking the window. it sends her into a tizzy. it breaks my heart because that means in her previous home, she must have been swatted with one. why else would she be so afraid? we learned right quick when there is a fly in the house, we move bailey to another room so we can avoid any stress it will cause her.

who would dare smack a defenseless little doggie with a flyswatter?

until we meet again my friends-

  2. Does Bailey not like to chase flies? We don't own a flyswatter. My dogs like to catch and eat the flies. I'm sorry your Bailey is afraid of the swatter.

  3. Our adopted dogs have had this fear too. Luckily Kelsey is pretty good at fly catching, so she doesn't get that scare too often.

  4. I didn't know dogs could scream until the first time I tried to brush our newly adopted terrier mix (years ago). Clearly she had been beaten with a brush. It took a long time but eventually I think she realized we would never beat her and she would let us brush her. It broke my heart. I just don't get people sometimes.

  5. Urrr...that just makes me sick!! And especially such a tiny pup as Bailey could get hurt way easily (not that others couldn't too but urrr!!!)Max used to be WAYYY more skittish than he is now, especially towards most men who he still takes a good while to trust and only a select few of us can pick him up without him looking like he's going to have heart failure so I'm fairly certain someone, maybe a middle-aged to older man and perhaps an older woman mean to him back in his stray days too and they better be glad I don't know them!!!
