even though we live in so cal, we had never taken bailey to a beach. well on saturday, that grave injustice was remedied. our original plan was to go to del mar dog beach but since that is an off leash beach, we thought the dogs there might be a bit overwhelming for bailey's first visit. so we went to cardiff state beach instead. all the dogs were leashed and under the control of their humans.
bailey wasn't too thrilled with the ocean and kept her distance most of the time. the only time she got her feet wet is when i lifted her up and stuck her in the tide. hey, i had to get at least one picture of her in the water.
she was much happier on the dry sand.
she thought the kelp was very interesting and spent quite a lot of time with it and had to stop and check out each cluster.
i took a LOT of pictures so it was really hard settling on just these few to post. i could have posted dozens but i didn't want to overload you.
i hope you enjoyed this little peek into bailey's first day at the beach.
until we meet again my friends-
I absolutely did!!! I took FInn to the beach also and she was afraid of the waves AND loved the seaweed too!
ReplyDeleteI loved it! Someday I hope to visit a beach.

ReplyDeleteYou guys have a choice between a leashed and off-leash beach? Neat!! I have never taken Rose to our beach. For two reasons. Way too many off-leash canines. And I love, love, love their gift shops!! NO DOGS ALLOWED!! ;op
Love, Raelyn.... And Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!
I love the beach! The sand and the seaweed are my favorite parts. I agree with you though--the water is no good at all!

Bailey you look so cute standing there on the wet sand. You even had your name printed for you. Is that wonderful or what.
