eye infection

last week bailey had a pretty bad eye infection. her eye was filled with pus and looked pretty bad. she could barely open it, much less see out of it.

i cleaned it up and with a prescription from her vet...

in a less than a week, she was pretty much back to normal. yay for bay!!! but... there's always a but, isn't there. he did diagnose her with glaucoma, so one of her eye drops is to help reduce eye pressure. she has a follow up visit later this week, so we'll see how she is progressing.

our miracle girl #tbt

this picture was taken in 2015, only 3 months after bailey's near fatal fall. you'd never know it to look at this face that she had just cracked her skull open. she was still on the mend but was making fantastic progress. of course she didn't come out of it unscathed. 6 1/2 years later, she still has seizures but all things considered, she's doing great. she is our little miracle.

bee has fallen in love with bailey's nest bed. it's ok, bailey never uses it anyway. it's cozy warm, isn't it bee?

bladder infection

a couple of weeks ago, poor little bailey was having trouble urinating. she would try and try and nothing would come out. maybe just a drop, as this video shows. 

this lasted the entire weekend so last monday we went to the vet. he found her anal glands were impacted and that caused a bladder infection. she had her glands expressed, got a couple of shots, and was sent home with antibiotics. a couple of days later, she was peeing like a champ :)

new crochet buddy

look at my new crochet buddy. it's bee! our sunday mornings usually look something like this. i stay in my pjs a little later, hubby and i have morning coffee together with doggies by our side and sometime i even get in a little morning crochet time. i love our peaceful sunday mornings.
