patience is a virtue, even with dogs

aoife is a power walker. she is focused and always keeps her eye on the finish line. bailey's walk is more of a stroll. she likes to meander and stop to check each and every pee mail along the road. it took a while to teach aoife to be patient on a walk but now she can sit calmly and wait until we catch up to her.

poor aoife is desperate to play with bailey. bailey was not in the mood.
(be sure you have your sound turned on but be ready, bailey has quite the scream.)

hot days require cool drinks. bailey suggested maui wowi for a refreshing smoothie. with plenty of dog-friendly outdoor seating, this was the perfect place to just sit and chill.

we all know how damaging the sun can be on our skin. did you know the same goes for doggies? you have to watch their sun exposure as much as your own. that is why bailey has her very own umbrella. she can still enjoy the sun and i don't have to worry about any of the damaging rays.

the difference between aoife and bailey

aoife is a one shot chihuahua. i tell her "aoife look" and she does. she stays still and i snap the picture. no fuss, no muss.

bailey on the other hand, not so much.

it's as if she's in her own little world...

and can't even hear me.
