and looking for a way out.

i don't know why she has to exaggerate her bath time. it's over soon enough...

and then she gets to bathe in the warmth of the sun.

we found this sign on highway 126 in ventura county. it makes my heart smile that the "forgotten war" isn't completely forgotten. (this one's for you pop!)

you don't have to see detail, to know something is beautiful. i thought the way the sun was shining behind these palm trees, in santa barbara, was quite stunning. i'm glad i was able to capture this moment in time.

see beautiful in calla lilies.
even though it is in a bed of canna, this calla lily comes back every year to bloom for st anthony.

see beautiful in the horizon.
as a native californian, i know i take the ocean and it's beauty for granted, but it really is quite spectacular.

and of course i see beautiful in the eyes of my little bailey.

when writing a daily blog, sometimes my mind draws a blank and i need inspiration. i came across an article celebrating the anniversary of dr seuss's birth and i was inspired. [btw, he would have been 110 on march 2nd.] happy belated birthday dr seuss!

i think it's the season for giant insects because last month we were visited by a giant grasshopper and last week we were visited by a beautiful white-lined sphinx moth.

bailey wondered how close she could get without it flying away.
