messy marvin

is your doggie a messy marvin at meal time? this is what bailey typically does. she scatters her veggies all over the floor while looking for her favorite foods.

after she's done with her favorites, then she'll finish off the rest and she'll clean up her mess too! good girl.

an irish feast

bailey is enjoying her irish feast. as you can see, she eats mostly vegetables with some fresh cooked chicken, a little bit of canned food and some cottage cheese as a treat (which she is going for first).
happy st patrick's day!

bone appetit little bailey!

i don't usually give her lamb, but it is irish stew afterall.

looks like the food coma is about to set in.

aoife's diet

aoife, my little piggy grand-dog, has a weight problem and has been on thyroid medication for a few months now. she is also on a strict diet and exercise regiment (she walks at least a mile every day). now it seems she is always hungry. after she eats her own meal, she just sits and waits to see if bailey will have any leftovers for her. if i don't pick up bailey's bowl, aoife will lick it clean. sorry aoife, no leftovers for you.

monday mischief: green beans? no thanks!

normally aoife is a very good eater and rarely leaves anything in her bowl.

however the past few days, i have been finding this...

notice how her bowl is licked clean, except for the green beans! BOL
is there a food your furry one refuses to eat?

scary kibble

bailey is a pretty good eater and usually finishes her plate of food, veggies and all! her only problem is the kibble. in the first place they are too big for her, so we end up breaking each one of them in half. then when she does bite them, the breaking sound in her mouth scares her. it scares her so much that she actually jumps! i wonder if any other small dog owners have this problem.

is it lunchtime?
