close encounter of a feline kind

why am i starting off this post with a cat? because we had a crazy experience at lowes and i just had to share it with y'all.
what do you suppose this cat is staring at?

he's staring at bailey!!!

and he's stalking her as she walks around.

bailey is so busy sniffing around, she doesn't even notice that there is a cat lurking by the pillar.

she's in her own little world and is oblivious to everything around her.

when she finally notices him, she is not impressed.

we walked away and the cat sat up like a little prairie dog so he could keep watching bailey.

he just couldn't keep his eyes off of her!

as bailey walked away, the cat followed!

i'm not sure what this cat was thinking. maybe he's never seen such a tiny dog? maybe it was love at first sight? i have no idea but it was the strangest thing we've ever experienced. what do you think?

{52 snapshots of life} #pumpkin

our challenge this week is to photograph pumpkins. well at this time of year, that's not a problem. we went to lowe's for some building supplies, and low and behold, there was a pumpkin display! well i always have my phone on me, so we placed bailey on the display and i got these shots of her. easy peasy.

hubby and i love doing home improvement projects together, so we love going to lowes...

and bailey just loves going wherever we go :)
