temecula weekend

we like to get away after the holidays to unwind and to get ready for the new year. this weekend we drove down to temecula ...

and stayed at, pet friendly, la quinta inn and suites.

apparently pet friendly is not exclusive to dogs because i saw this guy sitting in one of the windows.

oh yeah, this happened. just as we were about to head out for dinner, we had a dead car battery. thanks aaa for coming to our rescue!

"i'm ready for bed mommy!"

we had our sunday morning coffee on the patio of a cute little coffee shop we just discovered. bailey was a little cold sitting outside - good thing i carry a blanket in her doggie bag, just in case. yes, i'm that mom.

"which one's mine?"

as soon as we got in the car to come home, bailey was out like a light. i think she's gonna spend the next day or so recuperating from our weekend. BOL

the word of the week, in the 52 snapshots of life photo challenge, is favorite. hmm, should i pick my favorite thing or bailey's favorite? how about something we both enjoy doing? we love going out for coffee. sitting together, coffee in hand, ahh, peace. that is of course, until someone decides to come over and talk to her. she's not very people friendly and she responds with her gremlin growl and her jack-o-lantern snarl. poor bailey. she thinks she's being so tough but people just laugh at her.
