the bombs bursting in air
our city puts on a yearly firework display at our local high school. we live about a mile from there so those explosions are fairly easy to distract bailey from with a loud tv, the air going & a relaxing body massage. it's the illegal fireworks that throw bailey into a tailspin. there is no way to drown those out. they scare me too because there is no warning. BOOM when you least expect it. and just when bailey has settled down from the previous boom, there's another one. sigh.

Yep, we had the same thing. We also cranked up the TV (which helped considerably), and I made popcorn. Dakota loves popcorn so I was able to distract him from some of the noise that he COULD hear, by breaking off morsels of popcorn and throwing them to him and letting him get them. DakotasDen
ReplyDeleteI knows! Though, Ma was more annoyed than I was...I just kept lookin' at her, like 'really??? I'm tryin' to sleep here!' Ma kept wondering how they could be interesting after 3 hours....

Thank goodness we did not have any illegal ones nearby. I don't care about any fireworks but mom blast the TV too for my Lily and it works
