whirlwind trip to frisco

daughter #2 was living in san francisco but is moving to new york, so we (hubby, bailey & myself) drove up on friday, packed her up and came home on saturday. whew! can you say... exhausted?

bailey is posed and ready for our adventure.

at a rest stop near los banos, we found this pitiful pet area. it was a fire hydrant in the middle of a gravel patch. no plants. no tree. nothin'. what dog is gonna wanna go there?

bailey thought it was a joke and just laughed and laughed while doing her business on the lawn, in the shade, under a tree.

in gilroy, we stopped at this fruit stand...

and bought some fruit. (notice bailey trying to steal a cherry!)

hey look! it's hay! sorry, i get a little punchy on such a long trip.

i guess morgan hill heard what a super special doggie bailey is cuz they named an entire street in her honor! BOL
(no that wasn't what the sky looked like. i streamzoo'd the pic)

at first glance, this just looks like the tire of a big rig, but look closer... see the car in the reflection? yup, that's us! it took quite a while to get this picture at full freeway speed but if we have to be in the car for over 8 hours, i'm gonna at least try to have some fun :) props to hubby for keeping the car even with the rig long enough for me to snap a couple of pix!

i still can't believe what a good traveler little bailey is. this is how she spent most of the trip. (this was her 2nd trip to frisco. once to move daughter #2 in and now to move her out!)

rooftop view of san francisco city hall

leaving san francisco on the bay bridge, this was my view most of the way home. follow that truck!

until we meet again my friends-

  1. That is a very cool picture in the rigs rim. MOM wishes I'd sleep more when we travel. I just don't want to miss anything.

  5. Looks like you had a great trip! I love to travel in my carseat too! And you're right: that "pet area" is a joke. We always do what you did and head straight to the grassy area. :)

  8. Looks like you saw some pretty cool stuff, well maybe not the pet area...maybe it looked that way to encourage you to hurry up and do your business.
