g’day friends. we are mixing it up a bit with today's product review.

"ooh, i love when a box from chewy arrives!"

this month we are reviewing bird food! kaytee basic blend wild bird food, to be exact, and chewy was kind enough to send me a 20 pound bag for my backyard feeder. sorry, bailey.

"BIRD FOOD!?! i don’t eat bird food!"

our backyard is always filled with an assortment of sparrows, goldfinches, chickadees, towhees, doves, scruff jays... well, you get the idea.

it looks like it has passed the bird test. i filled the feeder late morning, and a few rainy hours later, it needs a refill.

if you’d like to start feeding wild birds, chewy also offers several different feeders for our fine feathered friends. i’m sure you’ll find something to your liking and chewy makes it so easy. no hassle ordering and quick delivery. what more could you ask for?

product review: instinct raw boost mixers #ChewyInfluencer

since bee is here a few days early, i thought i’d put her to work and have her do our product review for chewy.com (where pet lovers shop).

up for review is freeze-dried raw boost mixers grain-free dog food topper. we ordered the mobility support recipe because bee has been having some joint issues lately and this product "provides natural glucosamine and chondroitin to help support healthy hips and joints." it’s freeze-dried so it’s very easy for any pup to chew and a big plus is that it’s made in the usa.

as far as the taste test goes, it passed with flying colors. bee is a pretty picky eater, so for her to like it, that’s saying a lot.

it is made without any of the stuff you don’t want (grain, corn, wheat, soy, potato, preservatives or artificial flavors) and plenty of the stuff you do want (cage-free chicken, chicken liver, pumpkinseeds, ground flaxseed, salmon oil, and new zealand green mussel, just to name a few).

i like the ingredients. bee liked the taste. it’s a win win.

this review is on newman's own organics chicken & rice recipe snack sticks dog treats which, by the way, are made in the usa with high quality ingredients. and all profits from newman's own products goes to charity!

bailey gobbled this up before i could get a picture of the product! she didn't even wait until i told you each stick is about 4.5" long and can easily be broken so you can decide how much, or how little, to give your pup.
each treat is 25 kcal.

the good people at chewy.com were kind enough to send us some taste of the wild pacific stream canned dog food for us to review. this food contains real smoked salmon mixed in a tasty gravy, sweet potatoes, blueberries and raspberries for antioxidants and is packed with omega-3 fatty acids.

after i cut the chunks into bailey-sized pieces, she did not hesitate in giving this food a try.

"mmm, tasty."

this product is grain-free and made in the usa.

they are pretty substantial in size. they're approx 1.75" x 1" x .50" so of course i had to crush them for bailey.

earlier this month, when bee was here for a visit, we received a delivery from chewy. she was so excited that she would be able to participate in this month's product review. i was hoping it would arrive before her visit ended and it came one day before she flew back to new york. whew!

she was even more excited when she saw what was in the box. zignature whitefish limited ingredient formula grain-free canned dog food!

first it had to pass the sniff test ... passed!

then it had to pass the taste test ... passed!
unfortunately i could only give her one meal with this food before she left but she scarfed it down without hesitation.

in a nutshell:

this month was double fun because we have double dogs tasting and reviewing double flavors! (supplied by our good friends at chewy.com of course.)

this month we are reviewing nutro kitchen classics premium loaf variety pack: grass fed lamb & brown rice dinner AND slow cooked chicken, rice & oatmeal dinner canned dog food. the case comes with 6 cans, 3 of each flavor. if your pup likes variety, this is what they've been craving.
