at-home pawdicure

normally, i take bailey to the groomer every three weeks or so to get her nails trimmed because they grow like weeds! however our groomer just increased her price by 60% and since i go so often, that adds up to a lot of coffee money. my solution? trim them myself. i already had the clippers, so i dusted off the cobwebs (i've had them for quite a while but i've been afraid to use them) and gave them a try. hubby held her and distracted her with little yummies and i clipped away.

she hadn't had her nails clipped since before her accident so they were veeery looong! a couple of them are still a little on the long side, but i'll trim them again in a few days.

until we meet again my friends-

  1. Nail trimming with me is no fun since I don't like it much and I have dark nails. Trimming can be expensive, so we try to do it at home.

  3. Good job, I seem to remember that you had always trimmed your other dogs nails and had always done a very nice job. Her nails look pretty now.

  5. I hate doing this - I'm sooo afraid I'm going to hurt my dogs :( I'm often ashamed of how long I let them get...

  6. My momma always tells me she doesn't understand how I can be the most laid back, easy going dog and then pitch a fit like I do when they try to trim my nails. I'm glad Bailey is able to be distracted by yummies and you are able to give her a pawdicure!
