garden tool cubby

we are adding the finishing touches to our backyard project. yesterday's project was turning our old green mailbox into a garden tools cubby. first step was to paint it yellow.

this large planter is also something i already had so i thought it would be a good place to "plant" the mailbox.

did you notice the red flag got a fresh coat of orange paint? it's all in the details. hubby mounted the box to a 2x4, stood it in the pot then just filled the pot with a bag of leveling sand and a bag of pea pebbles. both leftover from our weekend project.

i placed it right next to my orange ladder (which was another project we did a few months ago). now i have a handy place to keep my garden tools and it didn't cost me a dime because it was all stuff we already had.

here is an updated picture of our triangle.

until we meet again my friends-

  2. Bailey you look so tiny under the ladder, you sure are adorable. I have wanted to do that with a mail box for a long time, but no mail box available, will keep on looking, love yours. Everything looks so colorful and perfect.
