aww, look at the doggies. these pups are pooped. we didn't do anything out of the ordinary yesterday so i don't really know why they're so tired. maybe the heat got to them? i dunno but they sure look cute passed out together.

national dog day

did you know today is national dog day? a day set aside to remind everyone of the plight of the unwanted, unloved pets that fill our shelters on a daily basis and to encourage pet adoption. bailey knows what it was like to be homeless so i'm sure she's dreaming of the day all the homeless pets will soon find their forever homes. save a life - adopt a pet.

the saga of the gray bed

this bed has quite the story. i bought it for bee because she loved bailey's bed so much. i found her the same bed, a serta orthopedic, and took it up to her on my last trip. the thing is, she never used it. even though, as i said, it's the exact same bed as bailey's. so daughter #2 and i decided, let's just swap beds. we know she likes bailey's bed. she uses it here all the time. (don't worry, bailey said it was ok.) so she brought bee's bed down, and look, now she likes it. as for the bed she took from bailey, that she loved so much? she only uses it sporadically. she's such a twerp.

this picture happened totally by accident. i was holding bailey and chatting with hubby, when i happened to glance at our wall and saw her shadow. OMD, it was so perfect. i grabbed my phone and snapped a shot before the sun could set one more inch!

who's the fairest of them all? well bailey is, of course. i took this pic back in 2011, when we were able to leave the house without a face mask and we didn't have to social distance. remember the good ol' days? ah, but i digress. back to the subject at hand; and that's bailey. bailey and i were waiting in the car while hubby went into a restaurant to grab some grub for dinner. she said wanted to get a sniff of the air outside so i propped her up and when i saw her in the mirror, i thought PHOTO OP!
