{this moment} see beautiful: the flower fields

we spent this past weekend in carlsbad (which is about 30 minutes north of san diego). while we were driving around, we stumbled upon the flower fields it is over 50 acres of beautiful flowers.

unfortunately they were closed at the hour we were there but we were able to drive around the side, and by standing on our car, i was able to reach over the fence, to take these pictures to share with you.

bailey was a bit tired from all we did over the weekend, but she is never one to complain. as long as she's with us, she's happy.

daughter #1 is all settled in her new apartment, so we took aoife back to her over the weekend. but before she left, she had to have one more wrestling match with bailey. notice how she lets bailey win. she's such a good girl.

on this visit we had her 10 weeks so you can be sure we'll be going through aoife withdrawal for the next few weeks. just look at that face! we are already counting the days until her next visit.
