throwback thursday: circa jan 2011

this picture was taken a couple months after we rescued bailey and before we knew how sick she was. she's putting on a brave face but i can see the pain in her eyes. shortly after this picture was taken, she had the surgery that saved her life. that's when the pain and sadness in her eyes was replaced with the sparkle that shines so bright today.
