today is hugs & kisses day in celebration of benny's life. stinkin' cancer took him, just like it took my precious kibbles. but let's not be sad for those that have left us, let's rejoice for the time they were with us. (i say, as tears well up in my eyes.) come on everyone, it's time for a love fest.

hubby and i were busy with yard projects over the weekend and this is the face that kept looking at us because we weren't paying attention to her.

"when you gonna stop working and start playing with me?"

she eventually gave up and decided to find a cool place to lay down.

"if you need me, i'll be under the plum tree."

"i think i'm just gonna rest here for a bit."

it's a jungle out there!

the lawn in our backyard has gone crazy wild! it's as if someone sprinkled it with magic fairy dust. this is the longest it's ever been. then to make matters worse, our gardeners got rained out last friday. hubby measured it and in some places it's as long as 14"!

is that a cheetah in my jungle?

oh, it's bailey.

poor little bailey has had a terrible time trying to maneuver herself through the jungle. thank goodness tomorrow is friday and there is no rain in the forecast, so the gardeners can clear away this jungle once and for all!

what happens when we forget to leave the gate open for the gardeners? we get a jungle in the backyard. good thing they'll be back on saturday because if the lawn gets any taller, we won't be able to find bailey!

yesterday was perfect gardening weather, so while i was giving my garden a little TLC, bailey was getting some R&R. she was my perfect little helper. BOL

bailey was so happy with yesterdays weather, she could hardly contain herself. she just plopped down on the lawn and started rolling around. weather dude says today's going to be even nicer. bailey's gonna be thrilled!
