did you know 2.7 million dogs and cats are killed in shelters each year? when i was looking to adopt, i visited several shelters weekly and every time i visited one, i saw different dogs. that means the dogs i had just seen the week before, had been euthanized because they hadn’t been adopted. shelters only hold pets 2-7 days before they are euthanized! they deserve a chance at life and a loving forever home. it’s not their fault they ended up in a shelter and they shouldn’t have to lose their life because they had an irresponsible owner.
how can you help? next time you are looking to add a fur baby to your family, why not check the shelters. i’m sure your new best friend is there, just waiting for you to find them.
"adopt. don’t shop."

until we meet again my friends-
I didn't know that many were lost to the shelters. So sad. We've always gotten our babies from shelters. They need us the most.
ReplyDeleteHave a woof woof day, Bailey. My best to your mom. ♥
Amen to that. Our dogs have always been from shelters or we found them, lost, hungry and lonely.
