old fisherman's wharf

we visited the old fisherman's wharf in monterey last weekend. there is so much history there. we had a blast.

"hey, can you see me? here i am!"

santa rosalia is the patron saint of the italian fishermen in monterey.

a fishing boat on it's way out to sea.

"the fisherman" by jesse corsaut is a tribute to those who made a living from the riches of the sea.

bailey is not really sure what to think about this place. it's nothing like home! "toto, i've a feeling we're not in kansas any more."

what is aoife looking at? a pile of barking sea lions!

until we meet again my friends-

  1. Does it smell fishy there? I love fishes!!!

  2. Oooo that does look intriguing. Did Aoife bark back?

  5. You two go on the most amazing adventures! My Mommy would never think to take me to Monterey - but now I think she will. I love adventure and car trips. It looks like the weather is quite pug-friendly, as well.
Drop by my blog today and enter my new contest! It will be fun.

  6. What a great place, it reminds me a bit of Whitby. I was actually looking all over the photo before I finally spotted Bailey right in the corner! You should have a Where's Bailey game for her, she is so tiny.
