treats for pictures

this picture isn't so much about bailey as it is about aoife. she saw that i was offering bailey treats for pictures and she figured that if she sat pretty, maybe i'd toss a treat her way. when i saw her patiently sitting in the background, i had to get her in the frame. i'm sure if she could talk she'd be saying 'look at me, i know how to pose for a picture!'

she eventually did come forward so i'd be sure to see her.

after a bit of coaxing, i finally got bailey's undivided attention.
the girls got their treats and i got my pictures.

bailey is enjoying some nature in our own backyard. the cool lawn is a refreshing break from the summer heat we've been having lately.

if you're looking for acres and acres of nature, how 'bout a golf course. this is a shot of torrey pines golf course. (if you follow golf, torrey pines is where tiger woods won the 2008 u.s. open. if you don't follow golf, i know, blah, blah, blah. BOL) this was taken from the balcony of the hilton at torrey pines. yes, the same hotel where bailey had her very first experience with room service.

dog of the mother of the bride

daughter #1 got married this past friday in beautiful la jolla, ca. (near san diego). if you follow us on instagram, you already got a sneak peek at bailey's outfit. i had it custom made for her and it turned out beautiful. she was the canine belle of the ball. BOL

because of her condition, and the amount of strangers and children, i carried her most of the night and i even carried her down the aisle.

we are still waiting for the professional pictures to come in, so these will have to suffice for now.

of course since aoife is dog of the bride, she was the ring bearer!

and since she hates to wear clothes, i ordered her a white buddy belt accented with crystals.

congratulations to the bride and groom! may you enjoy a long and happy marriage full of love & laughter.

product review: rocco & roxie gourmet jerky treats

this month we are reviewing rocco & roxie gourmet jerky treats. i must admit i had never heard of rocco & roxie before but after reading about them, i decided to have bailey give these treats a try. to just say she liked them would be an understatement. she liked them so much, the little stinker grabbed an entire stick and ran off with it! that's how good she thought they were. the sticks are a generous 7" long, which when cut into bailey-sized slivers, will give me dozens and dozens of pieces. the 1 pound bag will last us a good long time.

according to their website, "The first and main ingredient is high quality All-American Beef, Chicken, or Turkey (no overseas meat whatsoever!). The natural, smokey flavor comes from being slow-smoked for 15 hours."
