one of my favorite things is when bailey crawls up on my chest and falls asleep. i just can't get enough of this special time.

sweater weather

bailey has lots of sweaters, probably more than she needs living in southern california, but i just can't resist buying them. so as soon as the temperature starts to fall, out they come!

bailey had a very exciting day yesterday. there was a cat sitting outside my kitchen window, so of course hubby had to pick bailey up to show her.

as soon as bailey saw it, she started barking at it. when it heard her, it calmly turned and casually walked away.

we ran to the living room to see if we could see it again but it was gone by the time we got there. bailey was still huffing and puffing, as you can see by her open mouth.

just when we thought it was gone, it reappeared in our backyard! i guess it was just passing through because after walking across our yard, it jumped up on the wall and *poof* it was gone, again.

now that bailey is becoming more alert, she is noticing sounds that she never paid attention to before. now when she hears something, she will woof about it. i know a barking dog can annoy some people, but i love hearing her bark because that tells me her little brain is working as it should. yay bailey!
